Edward Hillel Book Launch, Public Lecture and Photo walk
We are pleased to announce the UK launch of the internationally acclaimed photographic artist Edward Hillel’s book Holding The Main, to be held at Four Corners Film and Photography Centre, on Friday 7 November. This important contribution to the methodology of visual storytelling and urban photography will launch the inaugural annual lecture celebrating the life and work of photographer, urbanist and teacher Gill Golding, and will be introduced by Gill’s sister, Gail Golding.
Edward will be in discussion with panelists Paul Halliday and Qiu Xinrui (UrbanAnalogue), about how he developed, designed and produced his book; his approaches to doing local urban research, and the role photography plays within collective memory and collaboration.
Edward’s lecture, 6.30 – 8.30pm, will include a book signing and reception at Four Corners, and the evening will finish in the Camel pub a short walk away.
Places are limited for this free public lecture and those wishing to attend are advised to book a place early at the Eventbrite link here:
